I was a homeowner next to a property managed by Ray White, specifically Brad O'mara. This agent began managing the property about 6 years ago, 7 years after I bought my home. In the 6 years Brad O'mara managed the property, I had nearly 4 1/2 years of horrendous and disrespectful neighbours in the rental next to me. The last set of neighbours were so violent, I sold my home and only now do I feel safe in writing a review of how Brad O'mara and his team handled these folks. It started with me making an anonymous call to the RSPCA for a welfare check of a puppy the neighbours had that was being neglected, and was also a violation of the no pet policy of the home. It regularly did not have water and never had shelter. I knew the RSPCA would handle the situation with respect and dignity, which they did. This is when the horrific treatment of me by these folks began. They worked out that I had made the call. I started getting rubbish in my yard, regularly over the fence that could only be access from their private yard. One night these folks started having fires and were burning treated wood. My house filled with toxic smoke and, as a single mum, felt the safest thing to do would be to call the fire department. The fire department handled this situation well and made the neighbours put out the fire. After they left, the neighbours began yelling abuse as me. They threatened to burn my house down, called me vile names and threatened to kill my pets. I was scared. I also called the QBN police department to ask what could be done and they said that nothing could be done unless I got the abuse on video. The next day I got surveillance cameras (of which the neighbours saw and ultimately worked around) and called Brad O'mara's office to discuss options. I spoke to Nicole Stewart who was very caring and understanding, at first. She mentioned that these neighbours "were on their radar" and asked me to please call anytime there were issues with them. The abuse escalated from there. I would regularly be called names when I went out to my car, they threw fireworks in my yard, they shined laser lights through the windows of my house, they put obstacles on the sidewalk to make it hard for my children to ride their bikes. Each time, I called Nicole Stewart, as she suggested. Each time, she was harder and harder to get a hold of and eventually never got back to me. The abuse went on for months (of which I called the police countless times and they were never able to do anything because I had no tangible evidence, always just missing incidents by the time I had my phone out and filming - however a different neighbour saw these folks throw fireworks in my yard but the police never followed this up by talking to the witness) and peaked when my children and I came home from a dinner one night. As the neighbours were always on the front porch, they began to yell abuse over the fence. I got video of the abuse, which included racial and misogynistic slurs and violent posturing. I alerted Nicole Stewart of this evidence and she never got back to me. I cc'd Brad O'mara in on this email as well and never received a response. In a nutshell, I contacted the police and had to take out 3 personal violence orders against these neighbours to protect myself and my 2 children. The property suffered damage while these neighbours were there as well. Windows were broken, fires were lit on the front porch, nails were hammered into trees and bins (I have photographic evidence of this that I sent to Nicole Stewart). If you are a woman with children living on your own, you will not be protected by this agent from violent tenants. If you are a home owner, your property will not be protected by this agent from disrespectful tenants. I sold my house as a direct result of living next to a rental managed by Ray White / Brad O'mara. Brad O'mara did nothing to protect me or take my situation seriously. Brad O'mara, no action in this scenario is support of violence against women and you should be ashamed.
